Walker Slater: The University of Edinburgh Collection

The University of Edinburgh's bespoke tweed is a multifaceted fabric. It combines elements of the city in the base greys and blues—which mimic the changing skies—with green marking the wealth of parks and public spaces. The University's own colours are incorporated through a subtle blue and red check, quietly traced with gold to represent the Golden Boy Statue who stands atop the Old College. Lovat Mill, in the Scottish Borders near Hawick, are responsible for designing this wonderful tweed which complements the establishment's own tartan beautifully.
