The organic molecule known as numeric acid has the chemical formula HO2CCH=CHCO2H. Numeric acid is a whitish substance that is prevalent in nature. It has been used as a food additive and has a fruity flavour. It has the E297 prefix. Fumigates are the names for the salts and esters. The ion C4H2O2 can also be used to describe fumigate (in solution). Butenedioic acid has maleic acid as the cis isomer and numeric acid as the trans isomer.
A useful substance called Fumaric Acid is utilised in various meals, drinks, detergents, animal feed, medications, and industrial items. The petrochemical route is used to create it on a large scale, however there is currently a trend toward using “green production” and environmentally benign technology, such as biotechnological production of numeric acid.
