Modern artificial intelligence, or more specifically “narrow AI,” which executes objective functions with the help of data-trained models and frequently belongs to deep learning or machine learning, has practically already impacted all major industries today.

This is especially true in the most recent few years, as the collection and analysis of data have scaled up dramatically thanks to the robust connection of the internet of things (IoT), the proliferation of linked devices, and ever-faster computer processing.

Some industries are only getting started on their adventure with AI software, while others are seasoned veterans. Both have a significant distance to travel. Regardless, it is difficult to overlook the impact that AI is having on our lives in the present day.

Transportation: Even though it might be a while before they reach their full potential, driverless automobiles will one day transport us from one location to another.

Manufacturing:  In manufacturing, artificial intelligence-enabled robots collaborate with people to carry out a specific set of activities, such as stacking and assembly, while predictive quality sensors ensure that machinery operates without a hitch.

Healthcare: In the relatively new field of artificial intelligence that is healthcare, diseases are diagnosed more quickly and accurately, drug discovery is sped up and simplified, virtual female nurses monitor patients, and big data analysis helps create a more personalized patient experience.

Education: In the field of education, artificial intelligence is being used for digitizing textbooks, early-stage virtual tutors are assisting human instructors, and facial analysis is being used to gauge the emotions of students to help determine who is having difficulty learning and who is bored so that the experience can be better tailored to each student's specific requirements.

Customer Service: Last but not least, Google is working on an AI assistant that will be able to place calls to local businesses in a manner that is indistinguishable from a human being. For example, these calls may be used to schedule appointments at your neighborhood hair salon.
