What are its components?
Conventional sponges are made of synthetic fibres and ingredients derived from petrochemicals, which makes them very polluting, not very durable, expensive in the long run and difficult to recycle. Plus, they never really go away because as they break down, they leave behind millions of microplastics.
Conversely, our ecological sponge specially designed for washing dishes does not pollute the planet at any time, neither during its manufacture, during its use, nor at the end of its life.
Our reusable dishwashing sponge is double-sided. She owns :
- a very soft face in absorbent organic cotton;
- A face in organic cotton honeycomb and mesh fabric to overcome difficult tasks makes it as effective as a synthetic scouring sponge.
The fabrics used for our sponge are certified organic, Standard 100 OEKO-TEX® and Ecocert. These labels guarantee that our sponges do not contain harmful products to health and the environment and that the textiles that make them up are checked at each stage of processing, from raw materials to yarns and dyeing. Our fabrics and the origin of our raw materials are traceable and used in full transparency vis-à-vis the consumer.
In addition, our ecological sponges are made in dignified, ethical conditions and the little hands which make them are paid a fair price.
How is it made?
Conventional sponges are manufactured in large quantities and industrially, with extremely energy-intensive manufacturing processes.
More precisely, our reusable dishwashing plastic free sponge is made in France and Paris in human-sized workshops that use processes that respect the planet.
We also work with an establishment and service of assistance through work (ESAT), which allows us to participate in the solidarity economy and to fight against the exclusion and discrimination of people with disabilities.

Reusable dish sponge: instructions for use
A reusable sponge is used in the same way as a synthetic sponge. But as it will last you several months, even several years, it is important to take care of it.
Thanks to its two sides, our reusable dishwashing sponge adapts to your needs and the dirtiness of your utensils. The honeycomb side strips and scrubs gently, without risk of scratching. It can be used perfectly to clean delicate surfaces. The cotton side is soft and ultra-absorbent.
To use your sponge, moisten it before rubbing it against your dish soap or put a few drops of ecological dishwashing liquid in it.
Let it dry well between each use to make it last over time. Thanks to its small hook, it can be easily hung up.
When and how to wash your reusable sponge?
Stagnant water + humidity: this is the perfect environment for the proliferation of bacteria. Synthetic sponges, which are never cleaned, thus become veritable nests of microbes after a few days and can represent a risk to our health.
