Those living in the independent house, as opposed to PG, have two options: cook for themselves or hire a cook. This is added to the tenants’ monthly expenses.
Payments
If you stay in a PG, you won’t have to worry about paying your electricity, water, or internet bills. Tenants in AC rooms, on the other hand, must pay an additional electricity fee. This is not the case with an independent house, where all of these fees are separate.
Restrictions
One disadvantage of living in a PG is the number of obstacles and restrictions imposed on tenants by the landlord, particularly in a girls’ PG. There are time limits for entering and exiting. Aside from that, there are restrictions on inviting friends and family members and arranging social gatherings, which are not present in an independent house. A family member is permitted to stay in some PGs, but at an additional cost.
Because the landlord assumes no responsibility for anything, an independent house has no restrictions. There is no time limit for entering or leaving the property, and anyone you know is welcome to stay in your apartment. An independent house also allows for social gatherings and parent visits.
