CYBER SECURITY

Cyber security is the practice of protecting the network, application, information, and operations from malicious attacks and preventing crucial information from being attacked and to be stolen. Cyber security is also known as information technology security and electronic information technology. Cyber security these days is mostly a matter of concern because in this technological world we keep every crucial and sensitive document with us on our mobile phones, laptops, desktops, or any other devices. All the devices are hackable and information can be used to steal money or to carry out politically instigated cyber attacks and riots. Cyber attacks are a threat to the internal security of the country as well as to external security. Cyber attacks can be done with the intention of harming people and the safety of the country. It can make someone bankrupt without being aware of the fraud. In these situations, one must think of cyber security. no army, airforce, or navy can resolve this problem of security but by being aware of these frauds and their types one can regulate his mind against these frauds and crimes. There is a number of software available which have proved to be a threat to your gadgets.

These kinds of software are better known as Malware. Malware is the malicious software used to hack gadgets in order to use them illegally against the organization and the person. There is much malware available in the market having different purposes and different configurations but the same goal of fraud. Some types of malware are trojan horses, spyware, ransomware, adware, botnets, etc. The most common way of cyber attack is the Phishing and the Man-made-in-the middle attack. Phishing is a cyber attack in which an unknown fraud calls a targeted person by being his known and trusted person and asks you to transfer some important documents, or money or even ask you for an OTP. A man-made-in-the-middle attack is an attack when someone steals the data transferring from one party to another, for example through the wifi connection here one person is the user and the second person is the provider and the middle man will take the data traveling between the user and provider. But cyber attacks are preventable by using anti-virus software, using complex software, adopting strong passwords, and timely updating operating systems and software. That is how one can protect him/her from cyber attacks and attain data privacy.
