You've just been jailed and you're wondering, “How can I get my mail?” There's good news: the smartjailmail system lets you send and receive letters while in jail! Just follow these steps and you'll be on your way to hearing from your friends and family. We've also included some frequently asked questions about Smartjail Mail below (with answers).
How to use it?

Open the app and select the jail you want to connect to.

Enter your username, password and mail address.
How to get your mail from the jailor?
When you're released, the jailor will give you a letter. The letter will have your mail in it!
You can also get your mail from the Captain's Quarters, but it's slower and more dangerous because there are other prisoners around who might want to take it from you.
This is the best way to get your mail because it's faster and safer than getting it directly from the Captain's Quarters.

It's faster because the mail is pre-sorted by Captain's Quarters and delivered to you in bulk, so you don't have to wait for them to sort through all of their letters before they can deliver them to you.

It's safer because the mail isn't being delivered by a prisoner who could be hiding contraband or weapons inside his or her body cavity. That would be gross!
