Carrom is a tabletop game that was originally developed in India. It has been growing in popularity throughout the years. Many clubs organize tournaments and participate in competitions. It can also be played casually with your friends.

This is how to play Carrom.
What is Carrom for?
Your goal is to flick your Striker at Carrom Men/ Coins with your finger. This will force them to one of the four corners.
How to set your Carrom Board
Position your Carrom Board between 60 and 70 cm from the ground. If you don't have a table, you can use one our Carrom Stands.
Learn more about sports
Dust the Board with Carrom Powder and place the Queen inside its centre circle.
Arrange Carrom Men/Coins around Queen. Alternate the dark and light pieces in a circular arrangement.
Determine which player will win. Toss a coin or guess which hand you are holding.
The First Step
Breaking refers to the first shot of a game. The goal is to spread Carrom Men around the Board and away from the Queen.
To take the break shot, your Striker must be flicked between the rectangular base line rectangles. Your Striker must touch both base lines but not the diagonals.
If Striker fails at breaking both base lines, the Striker can try to break again three times before the turn is over
Use high-quality Carrom Powder to ensure your striker glides smoothly across the board.
If a Coin is in play, the player can have another shot.
The Striker is forfeited to a player who does not place their colour coin on the shot.
Men with Carrom
These rules apply to Potting Carrom Men or Carrom Laws.
The Striker can hit Carrom Men that are not within the player’s baseline or behind the baseline.
If the centre circle is fully covered, a Carrom piece is removed from the board and placed in the opposite direction to the player.
A player who strikes the last Carrom man in front of the Queen will be punished (see below for fouls).
Any player who loses a Carrom Piece of their opponent’s colour will lose their turn. Any player who sinks their opponent’s last Carrom Piece loses the game.
The player who has not purged their Carrom piece before the Queen wins the game and loses three points from their total score.
If they are not owed by another player, the Carrom men can be kept in your pocket. (Refer to the striking information below.
How to Cover The Queen Successfully
To cover the Queen, a player must first take out their colour Coin. Then they must steal the Queen.
If the Queen is not taken by a player during their first turn, it will be returned to its centre.
The winner of the board will be the player who has all his Coins sunk.
Use your Striker
Players must use their Striker to take each shot. If the Striker fails on either line, the player can try again up 3 times.
The Striker must cross your front baseline in front you. You are prohibited from turning backwards or horizontally.
The Striker can be accidentally taken by an opponent player during a turn. They owe them a Carrom Coin. They must return one their colours to the centre.
A player who does not have Carrom Coins will owe another one a Coin. They must return it as soon possible.
What's Carrom's foul?
All of these actions are considered to be fouls:
- The Striker’s Pocket
- A player who takes a piece from his opponent is
- Remove a piece from the board
- The Queen may take the last piece of a player's hand
- The player misplaced his striker before taking a shot.
- A player's arm crosses the diagonal foul line.
- A forfeit will be made if the player fails to correctly break on 3 of his attempts.
Carrom scoring
Each game ends with the points added together. The winner is the player who has more points.
Every piece of opposition on a board that isn't won by the player wins them an extra point.
An additional 5 points are given to the player who correctly covers Queen.
