With so many gamers still expecting a release date for The Elder Scrolls VI, it is no surprise that our nostalgic minds drive us to keep playing older titles just to keep the flame alive. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is one of those games that are worth revisiting at least once a year. The war axe has a few things going for it that other one-handed weapons don’t. For starters, its base damage is higher than all other one-handed weapons except for the greatsword. And while its attack speed is slower than the dagger, its reach is much longer. This unique war axe can be found in Fort Dawnguard, and it’s a great choice for players who want a powerful one-handed weapon with a unique look. The axe has a base damage of 11 (not too impressive) but deals 10+x sun damage to undead creatures, where X is the total number of walkers felled with your axe since the last sunrise. Since most caves and dungeons are crawling with Draugr, skeletons, vampires, and other revenants. Pair this insane damage potential to the advantages listed above, and you got yourself a killing machine ready to take you to the end game.
While I find that the console versions of Elder Scrolls are decent, these titles are better experienced on gaming PC desktops.
