Greece and it's Islands

Greece is a country in the south eastern part of Europe. It is bordered by Albania, Macedonia and Bulgaria to the north, by Turkey to the east, and by the Aegean Sea to the south. The country also consists of many islands with some of them being: Crete, Rhodes, Mykonos and Santorini.

Greece, as well as it's islands, have played a significant role in the country's history. The Greek people are a group of people with a rich culture and deep roots.

Santorini:

Santorini is one of the most popular islands in Greece these days. The island is a part of the Cyclades and it is known for its beautiful beaches, picturesque views, and rich history. Santorini has been a popular tourist destination for centuries but it has seen a recent surge in popularity because of social media.

The island was also used as an inspiration for many movies, songs and books such as “Mamma Mia” or “The Light Between Oceans”.

It is no wonder that people are flocking to Santorini to experience this beautiful place with their own eyes.

Santorini is a perfect getaway for those who want to enjoy some peace and quiet or explore new cultures.

It's also a great place for an active vacation with plenty of hiking trails and water sports activities.

Italy

Italy is a country with a lot of islands. The islands are scattered in the Mediterranean Sea and the Adriatic Sea. There are over six thousand islands in Italy, but only thirty-one have a population of over one thousand people.

The largest island in Italy is Sicily, which has a population of five million people. It is also the biggest island in Europe and it has an area of 4,928 square kilometers. The other large islands are Sardinia and Corsica, which have populations of 1 million each.

When it comes to tourism, some popular destinations among Italians are Sardinia and Sicily as well as Elba and Capri Islands.

Spain

Spain is a country situated in the southwest of Europe. It is the second largest country in Europe and the fifth largest country in the world by area. Spain has an archipelago consisting of approximately 7,000 islands. The Canary Islands are located off the coast of Africa, while some of them are located near Morocco. The Balearic Islands are located off the coast of Africa and right next to Spain. Major islands include Majorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera.

Some of these islands are inhabited and some are not. The Spanish government has taken measures to protect both types of islands, but there are always exceptions to this rule. For example, there is an island called Cabrera that was inhabited by a community for centuries until it was evacuated in 1965 due to a volcanic eruption.

Ireland

Ireland is an island country in the North Atlantic. It has a population of 6.5 million people and covers an area of 70,273 km2. Ireland is divided into four provinces: Connacht, Leinster, Munster and Ulster.

The island nation has a long history of being invaded and dominated by other countries, most notably the British Empire. After centuries of rule by England, Ireland gained its independence in 1922 as the Irish Free State before formally becoming a republic in 1948.

Today Ireland is one of the wealthiest countries in Europe with low unemployment rates and high GDP per capita levels – but it still struggles with poverty issues such as homelessness, drug addiction and alcoholism among others.
