Do you love cartoons and animated films? Well, I do, and they're my favorite form of entertainment. When I was young, I used to rush home from school to see my favorite animated character on TV. Animation is much more sophisticated these days. The tedious hand drawings of the last decade have been replaced by computer-assisted imagery.

That said, I still love everything, whether it's the lush colors of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs or the latest cutting-edge Pixar creation. The creative invention of the animated character is the most important thing for me. I like characters that are well presented with good characterization and story. To know more here about this article.

Top Cat, Yogi Bear, Popeye, and other shows captured my imagination when I was young. The animated character from Top Cat, or TC as his friends called him, is one of my favorites. He ruled his alley, was the king of his gang, and put rings on the local cops. Top Cat introduced me to the concept of anarchy. However, my mother was disappointed when my devotion to Popeye didn't translate into a love for spinach.

Tom and Jerry is still taking place today and is probably the most enduring of the old cartoons. The slapstick that characterizes this show can be translated into any language. Adults seem to like this type of animation character as much as the kids. I also loved the Pink Panther series because he was such a cool guy and I liked the jazz music that was played on his show.

The type of cartoon character who bucked authority, the rebel or anti-hero, was my favorite. They were a contrast to the good two shoes that usually filled a Disney movie. However, Disney also had great villains, like the wonderful Cruella da Ville from 101 Dalmatians. She has to be the greatest villain cartoon character of all time. Small children today are probably still afraid of their figure.

There are also some great animated TV series out there these days. The Simpsons, for example, is an amazing success story. Remarkably, it has maintained its high standard for many years. Its cultural and political references are entertaining and I think adults get more out of it than kids.

There are animated character shows that are openly aimed at an adult audience. The Family Guy and King of the Hill are good examples. These adult-focused shows have a lot to say about American society. Animators can do a lot of satire with an animation character. You can also make them say things that real people wouldn't dare say.
