TikTok is one of the most popular social networks of the moment. Millions of original videos are uploaded every day. In this type of content we find virals, musical dances, jokes, tutorials and everything that fits in the minds of the users and that is within the conditions of the platform. But just like with other platforms, TikTok can suspend and remove accounts.

Although it is not something that everyone reads, far from it, the conditions of use of an application are usually very clear on its website. There are several points in which it is made clear that the punctual or repeated violation of these conditions can lead to the temporary suspension or complete deletion of the account. TikTok is no exception, and there are few accounts that are deleted daily without users finding an explanation.

Reasons for deleting a TikTok account

TikTok makes this very clear by specifying that they reserve the right to “temporarily or permanently suspend or terminate your user account or restrict or impose limits on your access to any or all of the Services with or without notice and at any time.” for any reason or no reason” That is, an account can be suspended even without giving any reason and without prior notice. However, the usual thing is that a suspension has been the consequence of not complying with the rules.

In order to register on TikTok, a minimum age of 13 years is required. This is one of the most frequent causes of closed accounts. That is, the TikTok algorithm or its review team detects that the account is being used by a person under that age and can automatically close the account. This occurs when parents or guardians who are unaware of these conditions allow their children to download the app and upload content under that age.

Other of the most common causes are usually those related to intellectual property. The re-infraction in uploading protected content may lead to the suspension of the account. Something similar happens with videos that promote misinformation, nudity, or repeated spam. Another major cause for the closure of an account may be in response to any request from the State security forces and bodies or any other public body by virtue of a judicial proceeding.

Unsaved content will be lost

One of the biggest prejudices for the user whose account is suspended is the loss of all content, unless they make constant backup copies. TikTok also makes this point very clear by stating that if an account is temporarily or permanently suspended or terminated, the account associate may be suspended or terminated.
