4 months and 2 days. This is the number of days since I last wrote on this blog. Since November, this blog is barren and if you have come here looking for new posts and thoughts and felt disappointed, I am really, really sorry. I really am. It’s like abandoning a child which is so close to my heart. But why did I stop blogging?

During the last November, I was overwhelmed. I felt trapped. I felt pressurised. When I missed posting the mandatory weekly blog post in the first week of December, I assured myself that it is normal to skip sometime.   Then, I missed the second week and somehow it became a routine. Yes. Not posting became a routine. I became lethargic and somehow lost the track of both of my blogs.

I know, I know, it was so foolish of me to do something like this. But hey, I can share the truth with you. After all, my readers are my biggest strength always and if I can’t be truthful to you, what is the meaning of being friends?

My blogging journey was started to share my thoughts with you. Gradually, as I navigated through the mazes of the blogosphere, I learned the tricks and tips of blogging on the go. It helped me to increase my income through it and I was able to share my expertise with my readers. During last one year, my blog coaching business was born and running smoothly.

But somehow, the anecdotes of my personal thoughts were missing from the blog posts. Some of my reader-friends complained that I have become impersonal in my writings and they had lost interest in reading them. Similarly, I got emails asking why I stopped sending my newsletters and updating blog posts? That was the final blow to my writer self. I stopped everything and then sat to think. Where was I going wrong? Why did I stop blogging? And the answer was simple. I became lazy and frustrated. I was investing time in some fruitless and ungrateful works instead of writing on my blog.

It took another 15 days to make up my mind and wrapping the useless works. And after full 4 months, here I am writing the first blog post of 2018.

It was silly of me to think that my readers have forgotten me. Thank you so much for those demanding emails and messages asking me to come back.

I am finally here with an exciting news! I am taking the A-Z blogging challenge for the first time in my blogging journey! I had never the courage to take this blogging challenge. But as I am bringing myself out of inactivity, I found this challenge to be the perfect way to compensate my blogs and their readers.

I will be taking a double challenge making it even harder for me. Yes, I am taking this challenge to both my blogs. As most of you know that my food and travelling stories have another home called www.foodieontheroad.com, look out there for 26 ingredients of Assamese Cuisine starting from 1st of April.

Now for the theme reveal for this blog. I will be writing about various aspects of blogging, social media and my life as a blogger. Isn’t exciting?

I am optimistic about my tasks and right now I am wracking my brain about various ideas. Most of the blog posts under the A-Z blogging challenge will not cross the 500-words mark, so they will be crisp yet full of flavours.

If you are a blogger and taking this challenge too, comment below. I would love to connect and share your posts on my Facebook Page.

For now, all the best to everyone who is taking this amazing challenge. come on, we can do it!
