You may have noticed that your Yahoo account is linked to the AT&T email account. That is because when AT&T accounted for the partnership, they linked all the accounts in a single one. This allowed users to use the same password and inboxes.
But, if you don’t like that and want to unlink the account, then you can use the following steps to unmerge Yahoo mail from AT&T.
How to Unmerge Yahoo and AT&T Account?
- First, you have to open the att login page and log in to your account.
- Now, you have to open the top navigation bar and then click on the Profile under the myAT&T section.
- After that, you will need to click on the Account Profile under the AT&T Email Accounts section.
- Now, click on the User Information tab, then click on the Delete Account option from the right of your member ID.
- When Delete Email confirmation displays, select the OK button to continue.
Once the AT&T account is deleted, you can go to the web browser again and open the Yahoo mail login page. Now, go to the same settings page and then select Unmerge from the bottom right corner of the page.
That’s it, now both accounts are unmerged, and you can start using the Yahoo account with ease.
