Hexahydrocannabinol (HHC) is a molecule derived from the cannabis plant, which includes hemp and marijuana plants. These molecules, known as cannabinoids, share a number of characteristics. You've probably heard of the most well-known cannabinoids: CBD, THC, CBG, CBN, and others. When used responsibly, these are known to have therapeutic benefits.

So, does the HHC Liter cannabinoid provide these advantages? Both yes and no.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of conflicting information about HHC and its therapeutic potential. Let us set the record straight! The cannabinoid HHC Liter is synthesized from CBD molecules via a process known as hydrogenation: compound “fattening up.” Making vegetable oil into margarine is a common example. In this case, however, CBD molecules are saturated with hydrogen, resulting in the formation of HHC.

HHC and You: Advantages and More

We have to admit that we lied. When CBD reacts with hydrogen to form HHC Liter, it actually consists of two compounds in roughly a 50-50 ratio. The first, 9R-HHC, binds to endocannabinoid receptors in the same way that many other therapeutic cannabinoids do. The second, 9S-HHC, does not bind to receptors at all and appears to be physiologically inactive as of today.

For HHC products, this means an automatic decrease in potency unless the manufacturer took additional steps to isolate 9R-HHC and eliminate 9S-HHC. However, users report more euphoria and mildly intoxicating side effects, which are beneficial to some cannabinoid users.

Keep in mind that all data is based on anecdotal evidence: user accounts, first-hand experiences, and general reports that are not based on scientific evidence. Anecdotal evidence demonstrates how a compound is used but does not always demonstrate why a compound should be used in the first place. Furthermore, anecdotal evidence should never be used to diagnose, treat, or evaluate any medical condition.

And here's another issue with determining the potential benefits of HHC: consumers are mostly relying on anecdotal evidence. Scientists are primarily interested in the well-known cannabinoids. CBD, THC, and other highly active metabolites of cannabis receive the majority of funding.

Anecdotal evidence suggests that HHC has effects similar to Delta-8 THC, a less intoxicating form of traditional THC. Following HHC ingestion, users report feeling mildly intoxicated. However, users report a variety of advantages:

  • Pain alleviation
  • Anti-inflammatory properties
  • Relaxation
  • Anxiety reduction
  • improved sleep
  • decreased nausea

Is HHC a legal substance?

Yes! Under the 2018 Farm Bill, Congress legalized hemp and its constituents, making hemp-derived therapeutic products legal nationwide. As previously stated, HHC Liter is produced by the hydrogenation of CBD molecules. CBD is a natural cannabinoid derived directly from the hemp plant, if you didn't already know. Any hemp-derived compound containing no more than 0.3 percent THC by dry weight is legal for sale, possession, and consumption under the Farm Bill.

What HHC Products Are There?

Because HHC Liter is highly saturated, it is frequently found in vape devices. HHC hemp flower, on the other hand, is available in a variety of popular cannabis strains, including sour diesel, northern lights, pineapple express, and others.

CBD Choice does not currently carry HHC products. You'll be the first to know if that changes! Our team is committed to furthering our understanding of cannabinoids and their potential for health and wellness. More clinical evidence on HHC is needed, in our opinion, but current anecdotal reports show promise! If you are interested in HHC products, we recommend that you do your own research and consult with your healthcare provider about cannabinoid use and dosage options.

Always buy HHC products that come with third-party lab testing guarantees! These reports can inform you about the potency of your products, any contaminants discovered in the product batch, and ensure that your cannabinoid regimen is completely safe and effective.

If you prefer to buy high-quality, scientifically-backed CBD products, CBD Choice has everything you need from all of the industry's top brands! At the end of the day, it comes down to our collective well-being. So, go with whatever cannabinoids work best for you!

HHC's Background

Because we know so little about HHC Liter, it must be novel, right?

HHC was first synthesized in 1944 by American chemist Roger Adams. Roger, a direct descendant of US President John Adams, first hydrogenated THC to create HHC molecules. He received his first permit to study marijuana two years after the historic prohibition in 1937.

So, why have we never heard of this?

Adams, on the other hand, is better known for his earlier discoveries. In fact, he was the first to synthesize CBD and CBN, also known as the “sleepy” cannabinoid, around 1940. In 1942, he patented his CBD extraction method. Adams was also the first to identify THC, publishing over 27 cannabis studies in the American Journal of Chemistry over the course of his career.

Needless to say, Adams was well-versed in cannabis. However, scientific history has largely ignored his HHC-related discoveries.

In conclusion, HHC

We've discovered a great deal about hexahydrocannabinol (HHC). It is made from hemp-derived CBD molecules that have been hydrogenated! It produces less intoxication than THC while providing many of the same benefits as CBD! Furthermore, its analogs have anticancer properties!

However, there is still a lot to learn about HHC Liter cannabinoids. We do not recommend that anyone take unknown compounds without first educating themselves about the benefits and potential side effects.

Having said that, we believe HHC Liter deserves more attention from the scientific community. This compound and its analogs almost certainly have a number of unreported side effects. If funding catches up to enthusiasm, we may find out just how effective these cannabinoids are!
