Five Nights at Freddy's horror video game series exploded onto the market in 2014. It became an overnight hit after its YouTube gameplay exposure. The game exposed deep-rooted fears about animatronics in children and instilled fear in millions of players and viewers. The franchise now has a book series and many types of merchandise. It also has eight games.

Popular YouTubers' "Let's Play” videos have featured Five Night's at Freddy's Security Breach since the release of its highly anticipated December 16th 2021 date. Many fans are now compelled to revisit old games and reflect on which animatronics scare them most.

The second installment of Five Nights at Freddy's features Withered Bonnie, who is the injured version of Bonnie from the first game. Two sets of wires and teeth are missing from Withered Bonnie's face, which leaves two sets of wires and two red lights that shine into the soul of the player.

This adds to the character's ominous aura. Although it is still a matter of debate whether Shadow Bonnie is an antagonist or protagonist, his appearance does not make him any less chilling if he were a helpful character.

Circus Baby debuts in Five Night's At Freddy's: Sister Location, her fifth game. Circus Baby, a clown-like creature, was created by William Afton (co-founder of Fazbear Entertainment) with the intent to trap and kill children. This animatronic is very similar to Pennywise, the Clown from the movie IT. When Baby is alone, her stomach opens up and draws in the child.

Many Circus Baby fans find the softness of his voice and childlike nature to be frightening. Reddit gamers claim that the animatronic killed William Afton’s daughter Elizabeth and haunts the contraption. This makes Circus Baby’s painted-on smile even more frightening than it was intended.

Scrap Baby is a recycled version of Circus Baby. It appears in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator 6. Scrap Baby is more frightening than Circus Baby. She now wears a pair of roller-skates and her right arm has been replaced with a huge claw.

Scrap Baby retains her whisper-like voice. She also provides jumpscares for players who aren’t fast enough to shock Scrap Baby back into submission. Scrap Baby is the last thing that fans would want to see in a dark alleyway.

Golden Freddy was one of the five original characters from the first game. Golden Freddy is a legend of conspiracy theories and his rare appearances. However, he still shocks and terrorizes players every time he does appear. Freddy Fazbear, the title character of the game, is shown in yellow. He is missing his eyes.

Golden Freddy randomly appears in the player's workplace and mumbles something. The audio is distorted. Before the player gets jump scared, the screen flashes with "IT'S ME" and then it goes black. The animatronic will make the game crash if the player gets too scared. The unpredictable Freddy Fazbear, a gold-encrusted Freddy Fazbear, is feared by players.

Ennard makes his debut in Five Nights at Freddy's Sister Location. Ennard is comprised of many wires from animatronics, with a clown mask covering his head. His body also contains animatronic eyes.

At 6'2", Ennard is 6'2" tall and his main goal is to take control of the player's body. He will scoop out their innards, then take their bones to escape from the restaurant. Ennard's creepy appearance and frightening goal make him a terrifying character. His voice also sends chills down the spines of his fans.

One of the most disturbing and horrifying stories in the entire series is the story of animatronic Springtrap. Springtrap is an animatronic rabbit with the corpse of William Afton inside. Springtrap appears in the third game. However, the jumpscares more than make up for the absence of animatronics.

Springtrap's human-like movements are the most frightening. It is terrifying to see Springtrap appear to just walk up to players, with William Afton's corpse still in their heads. Some promo images show William Afton’s corpse peeking out of Springtrap’s mouth in some promotional images from the third-game.

Nightmare Mangle is featured in Five Nights at Freddy's 4. It's the horror version of Mangle that first appeared in Five Nights at Freddy's 2. Nightmare Mangle is a razor-sharp creature with sharp teeth and a fully exposed endoskeleton. There is only one glowing yellow light at its left eye. Their head and bowtie are all that is left of regular Mangle.

Nightmare Mangle's most alarming feature is their loud, garbled radio static. They also randomly appear in the bedroom they are set in. Nightmare Mangle doesn't appear in the hallway like other animatronics. They always give the player the feeling of imminent doom by always being behind them.

Nightmarionne, the nightmare Marionette who made her debut in Five Nights at Freddy's 2 and Nightmarionne in Five Nights at Freddy's 4, is very different from the original puppet. Nightmarionne's sickly, thin and ill-formed appearance reminds many of the creepypasta Slenderman. When Nightmarionne appears in the corridors, his beady, glowing white eyes and permanent smile send shockwaves through players.

Nightmarionne is able to attack from any position in the game. Players never know where he will be next. Fans are most afraid of Nightmarionne's ominous appearance, but his laughters let them know that he is near. Nightmarionne's voice sounds deep and vengeful, and his creepiness is amplified each time it malfunctions.

Five Nights at Freddy's fourth installment features some of the most terrifying animatronics ever seen. Although the animatronics in Nightmare are terrifying, most fans agree that it is the scariest. Nightmare Fredbear is a recolored Nightmare Nightmare Nightmare. This animatronic is black with bright red eyes that look human-like and has sharp teeth.

Nightmare's most frightening attribute is his translucent nature. His red eyes are the only thing visible in the darkness. Nightmare, like Nightmarionne can appear at any moment in the game. This makes it a scary discovery. Nightmare, a monstrous-sounding Nightmare, describes himself in Ultimate Custom Night as "wickedness made from flesh".
