What You Own

When you publish content on WriteUpCafe:

• You may monetize your work independently

• You may publish the same content on other platforms

WriteUpCafe does not claim exclusivity, resale rights, or ownership over your writing.

How WriteUpCafe Uses Your Content

By publishing on WriteUpCafe, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license only to:

• Display your content on WriteUpCafe

• Distribute it within WriteUpCafe features (feeds, search, recommendations)

• Create technical copies required for caching, backups, or performance

This license ends when you delete your content.

We do not sell, license, or syndicate your writing to third parties.

Portability & Export

Your work is never locked in.

You can export your content at any time, including:

• Full article text

• Metadata and tags

• Images and media

Available formats include:

• Markdown

• HTML

• JSON

• PDF (where applicable)

You are free to leave the platform with your entire archive — no penalties, no restrictions.

Author-Owned Content Badge

Articles published on WriteUpCafe may display an “Author-Owned Content” badge.

This badge indicates:

• The author retains full ownership

• The content is independently exportable

• WriteUpCafe does not claim publishing rights

It is a transparency signal — not a paywall or a promotion.

Content Moderation & Ownership

Ownership does not mean content is exempt from moderation.

If content violates our community guidelines:

• You will be notified

• The specific reason will be shared

• The relevant guideline will be referenced

• You will have the option to appeal

Content is never removed silently.

Moderation actions do not transfer ownership of your work to WriteUpCafe.

What We Will Never Do

WriteUpCafe will never:

• Claim ownership of your writing

• Sell or license your content

• Lock your archive behind a paywall

• Prevent you from exporting or deleting your work

• Remove content without explanation
