The sub-index, which measures tourists\' satisfaction with the city\'s casinos, dropped to 67.9 points in the first three months of this year, compared to 72.5 points in the previous quarter. The sub-index was 70.4 points in the first quarter of 2013.

The last time the sub-index, which measures tourist satisfaction with casinos, stayed below 68 points was in the fourth quarter of 2011, when it bottomed out at 66.1.

The results were released earlier this month. No explanation was provided for the drop in visitor satisfaction with the city\'s casinos.

The overall Macau tourist satisfaction index also fell from 70.4 points over the past three months to 69.2 points in the first quarter of 2014.

The Macau Tourist Satisfaction Index is compiled quarterly by the Macau Tourism Research Institute\'s Tourism Research Center. It includes a total of 10 tourism-related sectors. Each quarter, it surveys about 100 visitors per sector and conducts interviews at major tourist destinations and transportation centers.

The index uses a scale from 0 to 100. The higher the index, the more satisfied tourists are.
