The note, sent to investors, comes after an on-site visit to the facility at Resorts World Genting, a gaming complex that was open for analysts on Friday.

"Genting Malaysia expects to incur more capital costs to complete outdoor theme parks on top of about 3 billion MYR [$717 million] capital costs to date, but it has not yet quantified that amount," said Samuel Yin Sao Yang of Maybank IB Research, a banking division.

The agency said the 26-acre (10.5-hectare) outdoor theme park will likely have a soft opening in the third quarter of 2020, at which stage there will be 20 rides, four of which use "Fox intellectual property." The latter is a reference to the Fox Entertainment brand. The brand\'s assets were recently subject to a takeover move by the Walt Disney Company, which was struck in March.

Once the construction of Resort World Genting\'s outdoor theme park is completed, 25 rides will be set up, two of which will operate underground, Maybank suggested.

"For the other five rides, Genting Malaysia may hire intellectual property from other studios but has not yet decided which rides to use. This is why outdoor theme parks are unable to use their former name, 20th Century Fox World, again," In wrote.

The analyst said work on the theme park structure "has to be completed by the first quarter of 2020 to allow months of ride testing." The analyst noted that "Fox Disney" will have to provide "final certification" before it opens.
