If you haven't played Stardew valley then you have little to no idea what you're missing out on until you actually purchase and play Stardew Valley for yourselves. It is one of the most superb, relaxing, open-world gameplay experiences you will ever play in your life. And one wouldn't know that by simply looking at the game's graphics alone. Stardew Valley should be an ideal game on how a game should be made!.

Released in late February, the game is actually a love letter to the Harvest Moon series and which already has sold over half a million copies. It became so popular that even if the players who pirated this game started purchasing it in a legitimate way.

The story

It was also the same story in every Harvest Moon game: your grandpa has died and you must take over the farm. The plot of Stardew Valley is similar, but with a modern twist: you're leaving the rat race for rural living and the company you used to work for, Joja Corporation, is slowly encroaching on the town you're moving to.

In the game, Joja Corporation stands in for companies like Wal-Mart, and the idea that Joja Mart is threatening the local economy in Pelican Town gives your farming some purpose.

The marriage

You can choose between five bachelors and five bachelorettes when you play Stardew Valley. All of them are eligible for marriage regardless of gender. Even though it sounds simple, Harvest Moon was missing this feature. It also gives the game an even more modern, updated feel.

Hidden secrets to uncover

On the title screen, click the E in "Stardew Valley".

Like these, there are lots of little Easter eggs throughout the game. As a matter of fact, Eric has said that there is one so obscure that it is unlikely anyone will ever find it. Are there any other places to check? Consider planting a cherry bomb by the rock in the entrance to Marnie's mine, exploring the forest area to the right of Marnie's house, reconstructing the beach bridge, and keeping an eye on the area during rainstorms, and don't forget to uncover stardew valley sewer.

Crafting

Crafting is a major difference between Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon. When you combine wood, rocks, and minerals, you can build things like bee houses, mayonnaise makers, and kilns, all of which will bring you more money and improve your farm. Crafting lets you decide the direction your farm will take: Do you want to make money through brewing, devising jams or specializing in artisanal products? You get to decide, from building yourself a stardew valley barn

to a silo and much more.

Customizable players

There are still a lot of simulator games that lack this obvious feature of customizing their character. In stardew valley, you can customize your character's hair, clothing, skin tone, and even adjust the colors to get the exact shade you want. Adding a simple function like this goes a long way towards making your character feel like, well, a character.
