6 Must-Visit Bars to check out in Pune

Not long ago, I bumped upon the Microbrewery Culture in Pune and figured out how Pune is building up the momentum for new things. Well, it seems the story does not end here. We have our guest blogger- Dhruv Maniyar today who has curated the 6 must-see bars to check out in Pune. I hand over the pen to him. 

If you are someone who enjoys having a drink once a while, then Pune may not be a bad city for you. Over the years the city has become home to some great restaurants and bars. Almost each bar in Pune has its own identity and attracts a different crowd which is what makes it appealing.

In this article I talk about the 6 Bars and clubs in Pune that you must visit with your friends.

High Spirits

Specialty – Great Crowd and Gigs

If you are with your friends and are looking for a place to let loose, High Spirits is the club/bar you are looking for. It has Great music,food and gigs.It is also not very expensive compared to the other pubs in Pune. Every Sunday it has cook out which is literally an excuse for you to start drinking from 2 o clock in the afternoon.

It does not allow stag entries for males though,which can be a bummer for some.

Agent Jacks

Specialty – Affordability

If you are on a budget and looking to get drunk, consider checking out Agent Jacks. It is a rooftop bar with decent interiors. The bar prices work on the concept of demand and supply. Come at a time with low demand and get drinks dirt cheap. Come at 9 o clock on a Saturday night and expect to pay a lot.

Wear a jeans or you may not get entry.

Swig

Specialty – Great Crowd

Swig is a great bar to go to with friends. It has two outlets, but I would suggest the one at Koregaon Park. They have happy hours everyday, so I would suggest going then.

The bar attracts a great crowd which provides its own aura to the place. It is pet friendly so be ready to see some dogs and cats. It is very close to High Spirits. Many people go to Swig for the pre-party before they move on to High Spirits.

It may not give you entry on certain days if you are a stag male.

Mix @360

Specialty – Great After Party Hang Out Place

If Swig is the pre-party and High Spirits is the party then Mix is a the after party. Almost everyone who goes to High Spirits moves on to Swig. Both are literally 100 meters apart.

Mix provides great music and ambiance which is appealing to already intoxicated humans. It is very costly though, so you may want to do the drinking at Swig and High Spirits.

If you got entry in High Spirits, then entry in Mix will be free.

Euriska

Specialty – Dance Hub

If you are looking for a bar or club where you can dance till you drop then you are probably looking for Euriska. Unlike Swig and Agent Jacks, Euriska has a dance floor which is drunk friendly. The DJ is usually good if you are into electronic music.

The ambiance is Greek themed which is appealing to most people. The food is great too. All in all, If you are looking to dance head over to Euriska.

Aufside

Specialty – Sports Bar

If you are a football fanatic and want to support your football club with like minded people while chugging beer, then go visit Aufside.

Many football supporting groups hold their screenings at Aufside, which makes it the place to be for certain games.
