Stainless steel angles, both laser fused and hot-rolled, are widely used and applied in the steel industry. Profile sizes in various grades ranging from 1" to 20". With hot rolled equal and unequal angles available at a low cost, as well as the customization and flexibility of laser fused technology.
Stainless Steel Corners, Equal and Uneven-
The most common are equal stainless steel corners. 10x10x2 millimeters is the smallest available size. Stainless steel angles with the largest dimensions can measure up to 200 x 200x20 mm. Wider corners are typically special profiles with very limited application. Stainless Steel 1.4841 Angle is one of the most popular grades of Stainless Steel Angle.
Uneven stainless steel angles have the same dimensions as their carbon steel counterparts. The smaller one measures 20x10x3 millimeters, while the larger one measures 200x150x15 millimeters. Stainless steel corners are typically 6 meters long.
Production of Stainless Steel Angles- There are various types of angle bars in stainless steel and carbon steel depending on production, technology, and use.
Hot Rolling-The most cost-effective manufacturing method is the hot rolling of stainless steel angles. Hot rolling L-profiles is not a difficult or expensive process. As a result, it is the most cost-effective way to obtain commodities. However, with this technology, one receives a product with limited tolerances, round angles, and an internal radius that can be up to double the thickness of the material.
Cold Rolling-Cold rolling stainless steel angle bars result in a fine and bright profile surface. These profiles have tight tolerances and very small radii on both the inside and outside.
These stainless steel angles are frequently used in aesthetic applications, such as furniture construction. They also frequently mirror polished, which appears simple due to the already smooth surface.
However, the available dimensions of cold-rolled stainless steel angles are limited to 60x60x6 millimeters.
Cold Drawing-Another production method that allows for very precise sections is the cold drawing of angle bars in stainless steel. These stainless steel profiles have tolerances within the h11 range. There is no inner radius and all corners are sharp.
Cold drawn stainless steel angles have the same dimensional range as cold-rolled L-profiles. Production lengths range from 3 to 4 meters. They are also used in cosmetic applications. However, the most common application is in machine construction, where a high level of precision and dimensional accuracy is required.
Laser Welded Stainless Steel Angles-The global annual consumption of angle bars larger than 150 millimeters is so low that it falls short of the minimum quantity required for the hot rolling process. As a result, laser-welded stainless steel angles are the better option. We make the L-profiles by welding two stainless steel flat bars together. The result is sharp-edged, with a marginal inside welding seam of no more than two millimeters and tight tolerances.
