Babe Lash, made by Elixir Cosmetics, promises longer and fuller lashes. Established in 1983, Elixir Beauty Care Products specializes in collagen investigation and hair care products. The Babe Lash line has picked up notoriety through online stages and social media but is presently confronting legal issues due to its eyelash and brow-enhancing serums.

On May 5, 2024, Plaintiffs Melanie Wohl and Dalit Cohen, residents of New York recorded a class action lawsuit against Elixir Cosmetics. Both women bought Babe Lash serum from Walmart stores in 2021 and 2023, trusting it was secure and would deliver them longer, thicker lashes.

The lawsuit claims that they were deceived into buying an illicit, unapproved medication. The plaintiffs say they would not buy the products if they had known the truth.

According to the Babe Lash claim, the plaintiffs consider buying the product again only if it is secure, lawful, and free from unfavorable effects.

Isopropyl cloprostenol (ICP) is a manufactured prostaglandin analog, which implies it’s a man-made adaptation of a normally occurring substance in the body. ICP is particularly utilized in cosmetic items, especially in eyelash development serums.

While ICP can be compelling for improving eyelash appearance, it can also cause side effects. The Babe Lash side impacts may include

  • Eye irritation
  • Permanent dry eyes
  • Iris discoloration
  • Dark under-eye circles
  • Spotting of the iris
  • Loss of eyelashes

If you are affected by any of these side effects, join a class action or contact an experienced lawyer.
