Munnar tourism is a hill station and town in Kerala’s Idukki district, located in the Western Ghats mountain ranges. At 1,600 metres (5,200 ft) above sea level, it is part of the Western Ghats mountain range. Munnar is a famous honeymoon destination, frequently referred to as “South India’s Kashmir”. National and state highways, also country roads, connect Munnar to the rest of the country. The town is around 130 kilometres (81 miles) south of Cochin, 31 kilometres (19 miles) north of Adimali, 85 kilometres (53 miles) south of Udumalpettu in Tamil Nadu, and 60 kilometres (37 miles) south of Neriyamangalam on the Kochi-Dhanushkodi National Highway (N.H 49).
The nearest major railway stations are Ernakulam and Aluva (approximately 140 kilometres (87 miles) by vehicle). Nearest operating railway station in Udumalaipettai. The nearest airport is also Cochin International Airport, which is 110 kilometres (68 miles) away. Both Coimbatore and Madurai airports are 165 kilometres (103 miles) away from Munnar.
