Dementia Care
Over 70% of people living in care homes are living with dementia and require assistance with washing, dressing and meals. By having a skilled team, our residents living with dementia are supported 24/7 with prompting, reassurance, and hands on care. Our Home Manager specialises in dementia care and delivers classroom training on dementia, communication and sex, intimacy and relationships in care homes to all team members.
We encourage our residents to be as independent as possible and our home has designed to prompt people living with dementia through the use of directional signage and path finding areas. We understand that hobbies and interests change over the years and that the memory doesn’t always recall our likes and dislikes. At Beulah Vista we focus on the now and allow our residents to be whoever they want to be.

Our nurses lead our shifts ensuring that the care team are informed of any changes with our residents and feel supported as our nurses are hands on. Our person-centered care plans help our team respond to individual needs, enhance their independence and to offer reassurance.
Residential Care
Our residential care offers support to those that require assistance with mobility, personal care and with meals. We have a trained care team to help support with these needs and are hands on to support our residents when needed. Some people may be looking for companionship as living alone at home can feel lonely. Beulah Vista offers a variety of activities that our residents can chose to participate in.
We encourage our residents to mobilize and hold a walking club three times per week. By mobilizing regularly, it allows our residents to remain strong and helps promote independence.
Person Centered Care
At Beulah Vista we deliver person-centered care to all our residents. Our residents are supported, facilitated, and enabled to contribute to their own care through shared decision making, equality of communication and mutual respect.

We are aware that there is no place like home and that many people would choose to remain there if possible. However, there are times when living at home can prove difficult and moving into a care home is the best option. It can be overwhelming moving to a new home so by getting to know our residents, it helps us to deliver the best possible care for them. We encourage our residents to bring in personal belongings such as pictures and ornaments to help familiarize them and offer reassurance.
Respite
Are you the main carer looking after a loved one at home? Over time, being the sole carer can take its toll and it’s vital that we all take a break. We find that many families feel guilty for wanting to have a holiday and tend to keep putting this off. At Beulah Vista, we know that we cannot take your guilt away, but we are confident that your loved one will be cared for to the highest standard.

We want to know how you care for your loved one so that we can learn and follow this at Beulah Vista. Our pre assessment process for respite is exactly the same for any resident moving in so that we get to know as much as we can about that person. Our ‘My Life Story’ helps us to capture the background of each resident, which is completed before someone move in. This information is shared with the team so that when a resident moves in, the team can help them to settle into Beulah Vista.
