A big cat with a big heart -- this is the Chausie cat breed that is a mix of wild feline breeds and the Abyssinian. These Chausies are among the biggest domesticated breeds that acquired their cat parents’ wonderful qualities, including being playful, outgoing, and energetic.
Since these felines have a wild lineage, the Chausies move around a lot and need enough space where they can explore, play, and be themselves. In addition, these cats are active and refuse to live by themselves. They certainly enjoy human interaction but not with young kids. So if you have little ones, this breed is not ideal for you to adopt.
But if your home is a home to other pets (without kids), then the Chausies will work since they are playful, active, and enjoy fun, stimulating activities. Just be sure to supervise the interaction of the pets, especially during the first few weeks after introduction.
