Foreigners set on receiving Grand Cayman residency must demonstrate a minimum level of continuous income, bank balances, and investments from outside the Cayman Islands.
Residency Certificate for Persons with Substantial Business Presence
If you have owned a business or are part of a Cayman-based business’s senior management and have lived in the Cayman Islands for at least 25 years, you are eligible for residency.
The business owners must own or propose to own, either directly or indirectly, a minimum of 10% of the shares of a business presence in the Islands. They can alternatively use this path if employed in a “senior management capacity” of an approved category of business in the Cayman Islands.
