BOC Sciences' HepG2 Transfection Reagent for sale is optimized in HepG2 cells and enables a high-efficiency transfer of siRNA, miRNA or plasmid DNA into the cells.

Introduction of HepG2 cells

HepG2 cells were derived from liver cancer tissue in a 15-year-old white man. The cells secrete a variety of plasma proteins: albumin, α2-Macroglobulin, plasminogen, transferrin, etc., and express 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutarate coenzyme A reductase and hepatic triglyceride lipase. In the presence of gramoxone, the expression of catalase mRNA was increased, and the expression of ApoA-I mRNA was decreased. The cells can be cultured in large volumes, negative for hepatitis B surface antigen, resistant to G418, and stimulatory to human growth hormone. Human hepatoma cell HEPG2 is the most common cancer in the world and the third leading cause of cancer death. HepG2 does not contain hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV), so HepG2 is a commonly used cell line model to study HBV and HCV.
