I'm genuinely panicking right now because I was driving my Wrangler home from work today and suddenly the check engine light started flashing at me, which I know from experience means a serious misfire that can damage the catalytic converter if you keep driving. The car immediately started running really rough, shaking and stumbling whenever I tried to accelerate, and I could feel a loss of power that made it struggle to maintain highway speed. I managed to limp it off the main road and pull over somewhere safe, but now I'm stuck trying to figure out what to do next because I really don't want to risk driving it any further and causing more damage. I'm not mechanically inclined enough to diagnose this myself, and I don't have any diagnostic tools to read the codes and figure out what's going on. I'm sitting here on the side of the road near the ICAD area, and I need to find a workshop that can get me in quickly and properly diagnose the issue without wasting time.
