In Vedic astrology, the predictions appear to be the same for people who are born under same Lagna (Ascendant)/Rasi (Zodiac Sign). However, in practical circumstances, they may not possess the same personality traits.

Vedic astrology is usually used to predict life events based on the planetary positions and movements in different houses, while KP astrology predicts future events through cusps (the connecting nodes of two houses).

KP system of astrology gives importance to the Stars, Nakshatras or Constellation divisions of the Zodiac in making the predictions. They are further divided into 9 divisions and are named as ‘SUBS’. They are equal in KP astrology, whereas these are not equal in Vedic astrology.

KP Astrology uses K.P. Ayanamshas unlike the Lahiri Ayanamshas which is usually used in the Vedic Astrology. These two systems differ by 6 minutes.

According to KP Astrology, the influence of the planets during their Dasha period is based on the star lord instead of the planet itself.

Regardless of the differences in these two important systems of astrology, they are commonly used to predict the nature, personality, or the events that could occur in an individual’s life. There are several astrology courses online and in universities where you can learn these two systems of astrology from expert astrologers and hone your skills before you take astrology as your career.
