Support & Care offers a wide range of services for every type of disability. Disability Support Services Queensland has a vision of having the right supports in place so that every person with a disability can live their life the way they or want to.
The Department provides services in the following areas:
- Assistance for people with disabilities to live independently in the community,
- Assistance for people with disabilities to access education, employment, and other opportunities in the community
- Assistance for people with disabilities to live as independently as possible at home, and
- Assistance for carers of people with disabilities.
Disability Support Services Queensland is a not-for-profit organization that provides support to people with disabilities, their families, and carers. Support & Care provides a range of services including respite, counseling, advocacy, and education. It supports people with disabilities to live as independently as possible in the community.
The organization provides services for adults and children with intellectual disabilities, hearing impairment, vision impairment, or other physical disabilities. It also provides support for people who have a mental illness or acquired brain injury.
Support & Care was established as Queensland’s first independent organization providing services to people with disabilities.
