A medical facility would be impossible to imagine without hospital beds. There are an infinite number of hospital beds available on the market, and you must select the type that best meets your requirements.

MEDICAL BEDS COME IN THREE TYPES:

Semi-electric medical beds: These electric medical beds have an electric motor that raises and lowers both sides of the bed. I can be easily adjusted by the nurse or the patients themselves using remote buttons fitted on the beds. However, because it is a semi-electric bed, the height must still be adjusted manually through the hand lever by rotating the lever clockwise with the assistance of a caretaker. These beds are ideal for people who do not require frequent height adjustments because they can be raised and lowered with the push of a button.

Manual beds: These beds have hand levers for raising and lowering both sides of the bed, as well as a lever to adjust the bed's height. These beds are the most affordable and are ideal for people who do not require frequent relocation. Because the manual bed requires force to adjust, it requires an individual who is physically capable of operating the lever.

Fully electric beds: These beds are easily adjustable because the patient can control the bed by simply pushing the buttons, as it does not require any hand lever to operate. However, the hand lever may be needed if a power outage occurs. However, this fully electric medical bed for patients includes backup power, which is useful in such emergencies. Some fully electric medical beds have a variety of adjustable positions, including the Trendelenburg and cardiac chair positions.

Trendelenburg position: This is when the patient is lying on his back, and the base of the bed is tilted so that the foot's side of the bed is 15 to 30 degrees higher than the head side of the bed. Lower abdominal surgeries, as well as gynaecological and genitourinary procedures, are performed in the Trendelenburg position.

Reverse Trendelenburg (ANTI-TRENDELENBURG) position: This is the same as the Trendelenburg position, except that the head level is 15 to 30 degrees higher than the level of the feet. This backward position is beneficial for pressure relief and breathing.

Fowler/ ward beds: Fowler beds are four-section perforated beds that are ergonomically designed for knee rest and backrest. Levers or electric motors operate these motorized hospital beds, and they have foldable side rails and head and footboards to ensure the safety of the patients.

Medical bed function: These medical beds have functions such as bed height-raising and lowering as well as simultaneously balancing, head and foot side of the bed lifting function, leg side bending and extending function. These beds are mainly used in I.C.U. as this function helps in ensuring complete comfort to feel relaxed and at ease while sitting or lying down for daily purposes.

Function medical bed: These hospital beds are recommended for I.C.U.s to care for critically ill patients. Providing all of the same functions as the three-functioned I.C.U. beds, including TRENDELENBURG and REVERSE TRENDELENBURG, provide patients with both protection and comfort.
