1. Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?
City Of Glass has been neglected a bit. I probably need to speed up on War Of The Twins which I'm hoping I'll be able to renew tomorrow.
2. Do you have an autumnal book to transition into the end of the year?
Not really. I just read whatever I want.
3. Is there a new release you're still waiting for?
Actually there are two that I've given up on since both of them were supposed to come out in 1998 so clearly Strange Fate by LJ Smith and The Captal's Tower by Melanie Rawn will never see the light of day. I think Brandon Sanderson should finish it. I think it was half done and I would swear I heard that he's a fan and it wouldn't be the first time he finished a series for an author.
4. What are three books you want to read before the end of the year?
I don't really do much in the way of planning when it comes to reading books. I've been kind of slacking in the book review thing but I plan on reading one of the ARCs from Net Galley and I'm hoping to get approved for one.
5. Is there a book you think could still shock you and become your favorite book of the year?
I'm not sure. What would shock me would be if I went back and reread the first two before diving into Mockingjay and absolutely loving it. I got spoiled for something that happens in book three so I never picked it up and of course I'd have to read the first two again.
6. Have you already started making reading plans for 2018?
I think making plans is too stressful. I don't get caught up in oh I should read x amount of books this month and x amount of books for the year. I'm more casual when it comes to reading. I don't feel a need to read all new books. I read what I want and okay sometimes the library doesn't always come through but they're pretty good when it comes to finding new releases and older books. I see so many people putting pressure on themselves when it comes to reading. I don't have reading slumps because I don't put that pressure on myself. If I don't read a certain amount of books I'm not going to feel shame about it. People need to chill.
