Playgrounds around England are falling to pieces, lacking big items of play equipment, or simply being closed up, as councils experiencing huge budget pieces struggle to keep them. In some of the lowest elements of the nation, household organizations are caution that children experience a summer spent indoors as a result of a lack of secure and free spots to play.

Sarah Parker, who works Enjoy Out Hartlepool, claimed the situation there clearly was dire. “In some playgrounds here around half of the play equipment has been damaged and both removed or remaining like that. And some properties within our community haven't any natural space for play within half a kilometre – and you can find no gardens.”
