Road Map Of Muktinath Yatra From Gorakhpur:
We'll start our Muktinath yatra by driving to historic Lumbini in the morning. After exploring this holy site, we'll continue to Pokhara before arriving in the evening. During the next two days, we'll explore the surrounding areas of Muktinath, visiting places like Manakamana Temple for the adventurous (approx. 7-km hike). We'll then head back to Pokhara after a photo stop at Ghorepani (2000 m/6562 ft.). Leaving Pokhara on the third day, we'll make our way back to Kathmandu. From here, we'll explore more of the historical places so far.
The best way that we decide on Muktinath Yatra is by hiring a car or Jeep that can cover long distances. Distance between cities like Gorakhpur, Sunauli, and Pokhara can be covered by hiring rickshaw, taxi, or bus services which are available in every city. If you want you can also hire an auto. This will be the most comfortable of all 3 ways of traveling. If you do not want to spend much then the private services will not be suitable for you.
Travel from the nearest border of Nepal, Sunauli. After arriving in Nepal, if we take a bus from the Sunauli bus stand, we will arrive in Pokhara. As Gorakhpur to Sunauli distance is about 93km, it takes around three hours to cross the distance. If in case the above-mentioned option seems a little expensive to you, then we can also start our Muktinath Yatra by going via Lumbini. From Gorakhpur's Saidpur Khala head towards Lumbini and when we reach there, take a local bus to Dhangadhi from the Lumbini bus stand.
