The teacher told them to start in reverse. They searched from attic to the basement. But couldn’t find a clue.Their house was all upside down.
Just as they gave up, someone clicked. An idea! It suggested the kids to walk backwards to reverse the order. As they followed, they saw they were covering smaller grounds & hitting the wall unawares. They peeved for eyes at the rear. Soon to realise it was the chameleon who could look behind its back.
They narrowed it to a traitor and began looking for the truants who did not support this day.They realised it was their parents who were always a no-show and found the problem was home grown.
So they mended their own selves rather than blaming the mystery around their low grades.
The teacher left the ‘Good housekeeping’ class before time.
