Foley contracting is a new name for a long-established type of roofing contractor. The owner, Robert Foley, started his business in 2021 with a goal of building the best roofing contractors in southern Iowa. In just a short time, he had several projects going and had already developed many happy customers. But Robert didn't just stop there. He wants to be the best general contractor in southern Iowa. That's why he started learning as much as he can about roofs. He spent months doing research and reading books. He even tried going to trade shows but was discouraged by the lack of people there talking about roofs. One day, after enjoying a lazy day at the library, he decided to call all the contractors in town and talk to them about what they do. After 20 minutes of talking, he felt like he had made a lot of connections. He knew a couple of these contractors from the library and knew they were good at what they do. He was ready to hire them and asked them if they would work on his residential roofing project. Most of them said yes, he wanted to find one that could get the job done right. A few days later, Foley repaired his cracked foundation because a weak spot had allowed rainwater to enter his foundation. The rain water has brought forth rot and mold spores, which are now creating a dangerous situation. Robert is still on the go dealing with other general contractors but now knows exactly how to fix his foundation. He was able to complete the job in only two days. He is so glad he called all the local contractors and shared his concerns with them. If you have a general concern about your roof, a good way to get a roofing contractor to come and look at it is to tell them what you want them to do for you. Tell them how you are not satisfied with the current condition of your roof and ask them to see photos of some other roofs they have completed. If they listen to you and give you options, then you are going to get a great roof installed. Robert was able to complete his work because he had a plan.
