In India, businesses involved in food related activities from manufacturing to sale, required a food license or registration. This license, issued by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), ensures food products meet safety standards. That license depends on the business size and nature of that license will be given by the state government and central government. The major objective of FSSAI registration is that food products meet the safety standards. Such as small-scale vendors, restaurant owners, and large-scale food manufacturers are mandatory to register with the FSSAI.
Key aspects of FSSAI licensing or registration:
Mandatory Requirement:
The Food safety standards act 2006 mandates that all food business must have either FSSAI Registration or FSSAI License
