A new Kickstarter campaign has gone live for the GameBand, a smartwatch that not only runs a modified version of Android but also supports the ability to play classic Atari games like Pong and Asteroids from your wrist. buzz feed trends
As the video shows, the GameBand comes with expandable storage of up to 256GB – while the smartwatch can be connected to a computer where games can be downloaded and installed directly from an iTunes-esque online store and app called PixelFurnace.
It will ship with 20 games built-in, according to the makers, and has enough basic smartwatch features like notifications, messaging and alarm apps that it could prove a turning point for those not yet sold on the smartwatch idea.
