Star Village Roasters
The Great Basin Native American-owned and operated Star Village Coffee Company is proudly served at Pola Poke. They blend old and modern to create coffee beans with complex flavour characteristics. Their Burundi Kalico has guava, brown sugar, and cherry flavours. The Rwanda Kopakama has delicious banana, grape, and vanilla tastes. An apricot, peach, and almond scent is evoked by the Ethiopia Gelana Abaya. They will melt you from the first sip.

We like their work with fair trade coffee producers. Both the Burundi Kalico and Rwanda Kopakma come from women-owned farms. Pola Poke Espresso & Cappuccino Serves Delicious Coffee
We provide espresso drinks in addition to drip coffee. We use Rose Bud Star Village coffee for our espresso. Its espresso profile has thick, syrupy dark chocolate and nougat tastes with a mild acidity. With two shots of lovely caramel-colored bliss, our double espresso is the perfect instant pick me up. The Rose Bud adds aromas of honey, apricot, and milk chocolate to hot coffee drinks like cappuccinos and lattes, giving them a lovely, hefty body with a moderate acidity.
In our cappuccino layers, we use espresso, heated milk, and froth. To make your cappuccino as soft as a cloud, the milk is heated and frothed. And I can vouch for this. From all the coffee I've tried. This fantastic combination is addicting. I usually like frou-frou coffees, but I've never felt the urge to add anything to our cappuccino. It's that fantastic. Mochas and lattes
We provide lattes and mochas. Our lattes have more heated milk and a softer foam coating. The steamed milk and espresso combine for a smooth, somewhat sweet finish. Lattes are wonderful for enjoying a nice book or good company. Adding a touch of caramel or vanilla syrup sweetens your latte. We have seasonal specials like the pumpkin spice latte, an autumn classic.
If you like chocolate, our mocha will tempt you and leave you wanting more. Our mocha includes espresso, steamed milk, and chocolate syrup. The combination of coffee and chocolate is ageless, a perfect balance of sweet, acid, and bitter tastes. With a dash of peppermint, your mocha becomes a mint chocolate chip treat. Americanos are made by diluting espresso shots in hot water. This gives the drink a similar intensity to ordinary coffee, but a more delicate flavor. The strength of an americano depends on the number of shots and the espresso to water ratio. Some like their americano with milk or cream, while others like it black. Our staff is delighted to assist you in finding your optimum balance.
Chai Tea
Chai Tea is an Indian tea-based beverage. It blends tea and milk with cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and nutmeg. The outcome is sweet with a spicy kick. We proudly sell Oregon Chai, a concentrate using USDA organic and non-GMO project certified ingredients. They are also devoted to reducing waste in their packaging by using paper from tree harvesters who are committed to replanting and biodiversity preservation. We appreciate showcasing firms that provide nutritious, sustainably sourced food.
Cocoa
We also provide hot chocolate for those who don't like coffee. Our younger consumers love it. If you are dining with children, we would gladly steam their hot chocolate at a lower temperature to protect their sensitive mouths. We love helping our clients get creative with their hot chocolate by adding caramel or peppermint.
Pukka teas
We also provide amazing organic Pukka Teas. Pukka Teas was founded in 2001 and became carbon neutral in 2019. They use organic, fair trade materials and have members with credentials in herbal medicine, plant medicine, and nutrition. Best of all, their teas taste great and make you feel great.
The current Pukka Tea flavours include Earl Grey, English Breakfast, Elderberry and Echinacea, Lemongrass and Ginger, Lemon Ginger and Manuka Honey, Chamomile Vanilla and Manuka Honey, Mint Refresh, and Organic Supreme Matcha Green. For example, Relax (chamomile, fennel seed, and marshmallow root) is a mix of chamomile and lavender (Cinnamon, Cardamom, and Ginger). Many of these teas are caffeine-free as well.
Dairy-Free Options
Our clients frequently request lactose-free items. We have some wonderful non-dairy solutions for those who don't like cow's milk. We happily replace coconut, oat, macadamia, almond, cashew, and hemp milks in any of our dairy-free coffee beverages. Non-dairy milks have distinct flavours that enhance our espresso beverages. Almond milk pairs well with the peach and apricot aromas in Rosebud espresso. Oat Milk accentuates the milk-chocolate tastes. Hemp milk gives your coffee a nutty flavour.
