r Select the Cells Containing Dates: Click on the cell or cells containing the dates that you want to format.
Open the Format Cells Dialog Box: There are several ways to do this:
Right-click on the selected cell(s) and choose "Format Cells" from the context menu.Go to the "Home" tab on the Excel ribbon, and in the "Number" group, click the drop-down arrow next to the number format box.Select the Date Format: In the "Format Cells" dialog box, navigate to the "Number" tab if you're not already there. Then, in the left pane, select "Date" from the list of categories.
Choose a Date Format: In the right pane, you'll see various date formats. Choose the one that best matches the format you want. If none of the built-in formats meet your needs, you can customize the date format further using the "Custom" category.
Customize Date Format (Optional): If you selected the "Custom" category, you can specify the date format you want in the "Type" field. You can use different date format codes to create a custom date format. For example, "dd/mm/yyyy" for day/month/year or "mm/dd/yyyy" for month/day/year.
