Mixer grinders are familiar to everyone in our country. As children, we have grown up listening to its high-pitched grinding noise while our mother/father prepared spicy curry or tangy coriander chutney for dosas. A mixer grinder is one of the most basic appliances, but one we absolutely cannot live without!

Even if you are a novice when it comes to using a mixer grinder or a seasoned veteran in the world of kitchen appliances, you will learn a few things about choosing the best mixer grinder. Let's get started!

Factors to consider before buying the best mixer grinder in India

1. Wattage:

A grinder's wattage is the first thing to consider when choosing it for your kitchen. How do you decide which machine is right for you based on its wattage? With a higher wattage, you can grind tougher and coarser ingredients at a faster rate. An ideal grinder would be one that goes from 500 watts to 750 watts.

2. Speed:

The RPM of a mixer grinder is also a determining factor, since it determines how fast the blade rotates per minute. A domestic mixer grinder should have a speed between 18000 and 23000 RPM. In order to operate efficiently, a juicer mixer grinder should have a low to medium RPM. When liquids or spices are blended or ground at a higher RPM, they may not blend or grind effectively. Select mixer grinders with speed control knobs/switches that can be adjusted according to your needs.

3. Types of mixer blades:

It is also important to consider the kind and options of blades that come with a mixer. Some blades are designed for dry grinding while others are designed for wet grinding. The two blades can be fitted easily to some mixers that come with them out of the box.

Most mixer blades are made from stainless steel under the 300 series. Corrosion resistance and durability are determined by the metal grade. 302 or 304 steel blades have low carbon content, which makes them last longer.

4. Number and Types Jars:

Mixer grinders are better when they have more jars. There are usually two to three jars of different capacities in most grinders to meet your needs. Spices can be ground in one, pastes can be made in another, and fruits can be juiced in the last.

It's important to look for a jar with a sturdy body and a lid that won't break. Any wear & tear in your kitchen should be able to be handled. You should also choose a jar with an ergonomic handle to make it easier to grip.

5. Warranty:

With a good warranty, you can rest assured that the product is of high quality. When choosing a model, you should look for a warranty that lasts between 2 and 5 years. Make sure the motor comes with an additional warranty. You will be able to protect your appliance for a longer period of time if you do this.
