Regardless if you look up a beauty routine or the routine of the most successful people on the planet, chances are that you’ll discover it starts in the morning. A lot of people have different morning routines, but they often consist of the same factors. Some methods are proven to be effective in enhancing your morning glow, and abiding by them can make a world of difference. Keep in mind that damage on your skin is cumulative, which means that sticking to it regularly may slow down the ageing process and even considerably de-age you.

1.      Cleansing with water

Cleansing your face with water is a criminally underrated self-care technique. All the products in the world can’t do for your skin what you can achieve with some simple, clean water. Now, think of this from another perspective. Applying a coating to your face without washing it first means creating a layer that protects the dirt in your pores from leaving your face. This means pushing these dirt particles even deeper, as well as preventing your face from shedding dead skin cells. So, it’s important that washing your face with water is the first step in your morning glow routine.

2.      Active serums and eyebrows

Now that you’ve cleansed your hair with water, what you want to do is consider using some actives on your skin. You see, water will only clean so much. This is why when cleaning our hands, we use soap, and when cleaning dishes, we use dish soap. To truly clean your face, you need something more potent (salicylic acid, for instance.). Once it’s completely clean, however, you should apply the serum. Just make sure that you don’t leave the actives on your skin for more than a couple of minutes; otherwise, the plan might backfire horribly. If you’ve recently had a lash lift, it might be a good idea to tend to your eyebrows during this stage, as well.

3.      Moisturize

Both dryness and oiliness are two sides of the same coin, both of which you want to avoid. The simplest way to avoid them is to moisturize them. Now, you’re supposed to do this every day, and doing so early in the morning is the simplest way to do it. More importantly, doing so early in the morning sets you up for the rest of the day. Also, if you shower early in the morning, applying moisturizer in the aftermath is a perfect conclusion. In other words, moisturizing protects you from wrinkles and blemishes and helps your skin stay young. Therefore, it’s worth doing every morning, especially since it doesn’t take more than a couple of minutes.

4.      Read the labels

Whenever you buy something, you need to read the label. A lot of people just look at the packaging and don’t care too much about what’s inside; however, it’s important that you understand one thing – these things apply to your bare skin and stay there for hours. So, your toner must be alcohol-free. It’s also important that your antioxidant serum contains Vitamin C. the only way to ensure these two things is to read the label. Keep in mind that this is a healthy habit that you should apply to all your cosmetics. Also, it’s not as time-consuming as you think, seeing as how you do it only once.

5.      Apply sun protection

Depending on the time of the year, you might also want to apply sun protection as a part of your morning routine. Now, just because it’s not hot outside this doesn’t mean that you don’t need sun protection. After all, it’s SUN protection, not HEAT protection, that we’re talking about. Your skin needs an extra protective layer to keep it out of harm’s way. Also, since we’re talking about sun protection, this means that you want it on whenever there’s sun outside. Depending on your complexion, you want to get the right factor.

In conclusion

In the end, emphasizing your morning glow is not just about the glamour. It’s about deep, systemic improvement to your morning routine. It’s about establishing the right routine, choosing the right products for the job, and ensuring that you get the most value out of each day. Keep in mind that this is something that will benefit you greatly in the long run, and the sooner you master it all, the better. It’s due time you got started.
