Top Ten TikTok Hacks #1: How to go live on TikTok without 1,000 followers If you’re new to the world of TikTok, the seemingly-magical social media app designed for sharing videos with friends, it can be quite difficult to figure out how to go live on the platform without having too many followers (at least initially). After all, one of the requirements that need to be met in order to perform a live broadcast is that you must have more than 100 friends on the app.

Step 1. Create your account

If you haven’t already, go ahead and create an account with TikTok. The app is available in the App Store or Google Play. If you want to update your privacy settings later, use Settings (the gear icon in either app) and then Privacy & Safety. In order for others to see your profile and follow you, they’ll need to be signed up as well—so encourage them! To send a friend request from within TikTok, tap Add Friends at the bottom of your screen. Then tap Invite Friends. To invite friends via text message, tap Invite Friends under Send Invites and enter their phone numbers one at a time. Finally, tap Send Invites to send out all of your invites at once. You can also add friends by sharing a link from outside of TikTok using Messages or any other messaging service that supports it (like Whatsapp).

So now that you have an account, how do you get people to watch your videos? One way is by getting featured. While some users are lucky enough to become popular overnight, if you want people watching your videos right away, it might help to submit them first. From within TikTok, just scroll down until you find My Story Ideas and click + submit Story Idea. Fill out all of the fields: Title: This should be fairly obvious; just name your video something interesting and relevant to what's happening in it. Description: Use a few sentences here about what's going on in your video; include keywords like viral or help me get featured. Category: Select Viral because we're hoping these videos will get more views than usual.

Step 2. Create your first story

The process for creating your first story is simple: tap your avatar and tap Create Story. Then fill out all of the details for your story and hit next. You can add a video or just text at that point. Stories are limited to 15 seconds total, so you want to make sure you get your message across quickly. Don’t worry about getting everything perfect—your audience will love seeing your authentic side! When you’re done, hit next again and then done. That’s it! Your story is now ready to be shared with friends, family members, classmates—or anyone else who happens upon it. Don’t forget to share it with us.

Now that you know how to post an Instagram story, what’s next? Well, if you follow our tips here closely, then there’s nothing stopping you from becoming a viral sensation. In fact, if you really do take these tips seriously and implement them in your life as best as possible (we know they sound daunting), then chances are high that we may one day meet in person while waiting in line for a latte. If we ever do meet in person though, please don’t approach me about being my big break because I promise I won't respond positively.

Step 3. Go Live

Head over to TikTok and hit +Live. You should now be in a screen where you can edit your title and description before starting your broadcast. Make sure your location is set to global so that people can see where you are broadcasting from if they search for you! Your options are pretty much self-explanatory—change them however you want. Once everything looks good, tap Go Live at the bottom of your screen. Congratulations! You’re live on TikTok! Now comes one of those critical marketing decisions: Do you use hashtags? If so, which ones?

As far as actually using YouTube when you’re broadcasting, there’s not really a right or wrong way to do it. But most people have found that their videos perform better when they let viewers into what they’re doing or talking about. Answer questions, give demonstrations or just have a good time! You can also read your own book and use some of your skills and talents (such as singing) during your broadcasts. Just make sure you keep things interesting so people will keep watching! That should cover everything you need to know about how to get started with tiktok live video streaming!

Step 4. Tips for getting noticed

How to get noticed on social media. There are numerous ways in which you can stand out from your competitors, but first and foremost is quality content. Work hard and provide value – that’s why people will want to subscribe and follow you! Tip: Give yourself a chance by posting at a consistent time of day. Facebook and Twitter analytics can show you when your audience is most active. This allows you to make sure that your content gets seen by as many potential followers as possible. But don’t limit yourself just because everyone else is posting at those times – find what works for you! If early mornings work best for your schedule, then do it!

There are multiple ways in which you can go viral. Share popular videos that are trending. It is not guaranteed that you will make it as a partner but at least you’re sharing content that will be seen by thousands of users every day. When you post your own content, try posting when other big accounts have posted. By posting within an hour of someone else huge with a similar audience, your post may show up under their name in feeds! This can make your account appear bigger than it actually is and help people discover new accounts they otherwise wouldn’t have known about. These little tricks can help get noticed on social media!
