How To Make More Currency In Path Of Exile

In Path of Exile, when people say things like that they're almost always taking map drops. There are several ways for you to increase your wealth.

Try to play some meta build, magic find if you can or at least try it and see if its for you (be warned items for magic finders are quite expensive).

Roll a lot of maps beforehand (1 usually do 1 full tab) alchemy them, check out the bad mods you want to avoid, scour them, rinse and repeat until you're happy with the maps and mods they got, or you can buy some poe orbs cheap on website.

Usually bad mods are: reflect, no life regen, no leech, extra projectiles + chain is a giant no on certain maps and bosses (plaza), 60% reduced regen and curses are annoying but you should be fine with a flask of warding.

After you finish rolling map you put 15-20 in your inventory and start chaining them like crazy. Cutedog has some videos about that,at work so youtube is blocked so cant link it, try writing cutedog how to make currency, its mostly small details like putting zana + navali near the mapping device and the stash too, preparing a "dump" tab which is a tab where you, well, dump all you looted in your maps but overall combined they save a ton of time.

For example how I play (which is robot like) put a map, enter the map, finish the map, portal out, immediately put the next map and while you wait the portals to come out you dump everything you looted in a dedicated stash tab or more and you sort everything after you finish mapping, yes even selling 6 sockets, IDing items, you do all of this after you finish doing maps (however many you feel like doing)

Lets say you play 1 hour, that 1 hour is gonna be spent fully on mapping with this method. So obviously its time spent on gaining currency which increases your chances of finding cool uniques, exalts, divines, you know the good stuff since you're simply killing more monsters overall.

As opposed to what new players do (myself included) you do a map, you come out, you vendor stuff to zana, you sort your stash, you forgot to ID some item, ID it, talk to zana or some master again, roll the next map, oh wait you are out of scourings, go to town to buy scourings for chances, etc... and after all of this load the next map and maybe you do 10 maps per hour.
