You've found the perfect woman, the woman you want to marry and spend the rest of your life with. The only thing left to do is actually ask her. Yet, a woman this special deserves a proposal that is just as great. Knowing she is the one is the easy part. Proposing is the hard part! With that in mind, here are a few ways to make sure the way you pop the big question is just as unique and special as she is:
#1 Buy a vintage style ring. Your proposal should be one of a kind, and her ring should be too. For a woman like her, the same ring that everyone else has is simply not good enough. You want to buy vintage engagement rings, not one identical to the ring half a dozen other girls on her Instagram feed have. Thankfully, this is easier than it sounds and it doesn't involve running to every vintage boutique in the area. It's easy to buy vintage engagement rings when you shop online!
#2 Incorporate an heirloom. What better way to tell her she's part of your family now than to add in an heirloom to the proposal? This could be a family stone in the ring or something borrowed or blue to add to her wedding ensemble. Your mother and grandmother can help you brainstorm some options.
#3 Pick the perfect location. You don’t want to propose just anywhere. Getting on one knee at a fast food restaurant doesn't have the same effect as taking her to a mountain top. You want to put some serious thought into your engagement location. It’s totally acceptable to pop the question at a place you both feel relaxed and "at home," but you could also consider doing something a bit more extravagant. Take her to a place you’ve talked about going to together or do something grand and romantic like a hot air balloon ride.
#4 Play music. If you're looking for a way to add a little extra oomph, music will do that for you. Many couples have a certain song that has played a large role in their relationship, and if that’s the case for you, you probably want to stick with that one. She'll get teary as soon as she hears it! If you don't have "your song" that's okay too. Try looking through a list of first dance songs or most romantic songs of all time to get a bit of inspiration.
#5 Involve friends and family. It's becoming very popular to involve your and her loved ones in the marriage proposal. If you don't want them at the actual event because you'd rather it be private, ask them to go to a nearby venue and wait. Meet up with them afterwards for a few drinks. After all, there will be a big reason to celebrate. Cheers!
If you follow this list, she will be stunned. She's sure to say yes!
