No, UWP matches cannot be launched via Steam properly to PSO2 Meseta my comprehension. There is some software such as GLoSC who have workarounds, but that one did not work for me. Maybe or maybe not with some hacking. But UWP apps in general only recognize Xinput gamepads. Maybe someday 8bitdo will create an adapter for them. I truly wish someone would figure out how to get another stick on that control. This was the best feeling control I have ever needed. Literally the only downside is it's console is dead and so is that the control strategy. I mean, I guess that's a pretty major downside.
The L/Rs are not satisfying to media just like on the dreamcast control, and the buttons are nearer to what the Switch expert has (clicky, with no glassy feel). Ngl, I still have mine and I enjoy everything about it compared to some modern Xbone controller, the stick feel is miles ahead on the Xbone controller. As /u/SFWxMadHatter said, the Xbox control lineage is almost a direct descendant of the Dreamcast.
Somewhat biased, but I have come to really enjoy my Xbone controllers. I have got two gen 2 (Bluetooth capable) fundamental black controllers and they've been fantastic. Great build quality (I often throw mine in my backpack and the rods are still in fantastic shape), good ergonomics, connectivity is amazing with the Bluetooth service on just about everything today, same with the input with all these games, and battery life is excellent at least on basic alkalines (rechargeable are somewhat hit or miss for me).
The one thing I would really urge Microsoft to change is permitting multiple apparatus pairings especially now they are pushing xCloud. Let me freely move between my PC and phone or Xbox and phone, etc. without needing to re-pair each time. The Xbox controller's ABXY placement is a direct continuation of Sega's, beginning with the Genesis/Megadrive 6-button pad's ABC/XYZ which directly continued on the Sega Saturn.
The Dreamcast simply chopped off the C and X buttons to make the ABXY that is reversed from Nintendo's SNES structure of ABXY. Meanwhile, Sony is still using goofy geometry buttons. Probably not geometry, but instead quality grading. Square is average, and Circle is great. Usually in that type of thing there is Double-Circle for best, but cheap meseta pso2 that could just make things even more confusing.
