Apple announced the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus at the "Apple Event" on September 7, 2022. They succeed the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini, and feature a 6.1-inch (15 cm) and 6.7-inch (17 cm) display respectively. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are the higher-priced flagship versions of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.
The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are available in four colours : Silver, Gold, Space Black, and Deep Purple.

Apple has now switched to using a new "Photonic Engine" in order to provide better image and video quality overall. In addition, they have also added a video stabilisation feature called Action Mode specifically for videos. As for the front-facing camera, it now has the ability to autofocus.
When taking a Portrait Mode shot, multiple people can be recognized in the image. As for the devices' rear camera lenses, they have gotten larger and now feature a 48-megapixel sensor.
