Is it easy to fit glasses?

I've been wearing discount eyeglasses online for 20 years, and I've done two videos on glasses, and each one... I've been told I wear bad glasses:

But this pair of glasses is not cheap, I was also in the eyeglasses shop for a long time to choose.

So I'm curious, what's wrong with my glasses? What makes a really good pair of glasses, and what criteria should it meet? This is the common question of friends who wear glasses.

My first step in fitting glasses at a regular optician is to pick out a pair of good-looking frames, and nothing else

But the first step in getting glasses is getting refraction. All other procedures have to be done after the optometry.

The first step in optometry is "computer optometry", which means looking at a picture of a small house or a hot air balloon. At the end of the test, you will get a computer refraction sheet like this. But beware! This list should only be used as a reference, not directly for glasses. If the optical shop wants to give you glasses after viewing the small house, then please change the shop...

After finishing the computer optometry, you should also do the "main vision optometry". A lot of opticians, they use inserts for primary optometry.

Many opticians use "integrated optometers," which also work by constantly switching lenses until you can read the eye chart. This step is to measure my myopia degree, astigmatism degree, and astigmatism direction.

Yes, astigmatism has a direction. Lang Zhong told us that compared with measuring the degree of myopia, measuring the degree and direction of accurate astigmatism is the most technical link:

Astigmatism is a higher degree of myopia in a certain direction of one eye. Let's say your left eye has 75 degrees of astigmatism, and then it's oriented at 33 degrees, which is equivalent to your myopia at this Angle, more than the other angles.

So the direction of this astigmatism is particularly important, because if I measure it to be 33 degrees, but I grind it to 15 degrees, that clarity is definitely going to be affected

In the direction of your astigmatism, the thickness of the lens will be thicker. We took two lenses and compared them, and you can see that the astigmatic lens has a "distorted feeling" when it rotates, because it is not evenly thick. The direction of astigmatism will also affect the choice of subsequent frames.

In addition to the measure, you need to do the red-green test; Measuring the main visual eye; Measure pupil distance, which is the distance between the left and right pupils and the nose; Do slit-lamp examination, if found keratitis and other conditions, it may affect the determination of astigmatism degree, need to wait for anti-inflammatory before glasses.

The new results showed that my myopia and astigmatism were both 25 degrees lower than my previous pair, and the axis of my astigmatism was different.

After measuring the degree and pupil distance, you can start to try it on, look far and look close. When I tried it on, I found that according to this degree, the glasses would have a little "wide on the top and narrow on the bottom" feeling when looking at the mobile phone, so the doctor gave me 25 degrees of astigmatism.

Here, after computer optometry, main vision optometry, try on adjustment, it took nearly an hour.

Only then did I finally get such a fitting feedback sheet to determine my fitting degree.
