Those gains came to 128.6 billion won (US$110.8 million) in the three months to Sept. 30, compared with nearly 93.3 billion won in the same period last year, according to data submitted to the Korea Exchange Friday. The Korea Exchange said its net profit rose 152.5 percent in the third quarter, compared with 50.9 billion won in the previous quarter.
Kangwon Land said its operating profit rose 12.3% year-on-year to 139.2 billion won in the third quarter of this year.

The casino operator posted nearly 405.5 billion won in sales in the three months to Sept. 30, up 9.9% year-on-year. That included total gaming revenue of 352.5 billion won, up 11.0% year-on-year.
The company reported a year-over-year increase in sales for its large market gaming segment and its so-called “membership club” segment.
Kangwon Land's mass table sales rose 11.3 percent year-on-year to 171.9 billion won in the third quarter and slot machine sales rose 10.0 percent to 152.6 billion won, according to a presentation submitted separately Friday. Sales in its membership club division reached 65.5 billion won in the period, up 13.5 percent from a year ago.
Kangwon Land's non-game revenue rose 2.8% year-on-year to 53 billion won in the third quarter.
